Beauty and the Society

It doesn't matter what you look like, it matters what is inside you that counts. When you look in the mirror, you should be happy with yourself. You should love the person that you are because someday, someone else will and you will fall head over heels for them. Love your body because the only way to be loved, is to love yourself.
My friend has been feeling really bad about herself lately. She feels like she is the ugliest person on the planet. That people would rather have sex with poop than kiss her. She has the self confidence of every insecure teenage girl out there times 100. She doesn't understand how beautiful she can look when she doesn't try.
People put too much into looks and that is what our society is becoming. Our world has caused more suicides over looks and weight and beauty than ever before and do you know why? Because unless you look like an angel that was beat over the head with the beauty stick and has perfect skin and a toned body and shiny hair, you aren't good enough for our world. Does that sound right to you? Do you think that people should be judged on what their body shape is or what their face looks like? What if, everyday someone told you that you are the ugliest piece of crap on the earth and shouldn't feel alive? You wouldn't feel to good about yourself would you? People need to focus more on what's inside and on the soul than they do on their body image.
Just know that no matter what you look like, who you are, what you do, that you are beautiful.

Don't Know What You Have Till It's Gone

A friend of mine is going through a tough time right now. For the past week she has been caught between a guy she has liked for a year now and his best friend who she just started liking. The guy she just started liking was in a deadly car accident and is now in very critical situation. No one ever thinks that something like this will happen to them. And the truth is, it happens all the time and no one is ever ready. We all just like to think that things like this only happen in books or movies, but those ideas have to come from somewhere. That somewhere is life, reality, whatever you want to call. But think, if this happened, would the person you love know that you love them? Would they know that you care so much for them that even on your death bed, you could only think of them and wonder if they knew how much you love them? Get up now and tell that person how much you love them. You never know how much longer you have to live.

Love is Love

This is a topic I am very protective about. People always have their right to an opinion, but when that opinion starts to hurt people, cause injuries, and even death, then that opinion shouldn't be around any more. As the pictures above say, Love is Love. And truer words could not have been spoken. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/upshot/video-shows-bully-attacking-15-old-gay-student-184016355.html The guy that got beat up did nothing wrong. All he wanted to do was love someone. The guys doing the beating was hating because he couldn't be loved. If you don't support love in all shapes, sizes, and genders than you don't deserve love. We can't just sit back and let someone else handle what's going on. We have to take charge and move toward a brighter future where everyone can love anyone.

Bullies

There are many kinds of them. Bullies can start off as a friend or a close relative or even a grown up. They are everywhere and they can hurt. You must be thinking that there aren't any bullies where you work or go to school and if that's true, then you are the bully. If you know there are bullies where you are then find your courage to stand up to them. If you are getting picked on then help someone who is. I know that if someone was getting hurt I would have the courage to confront them, but what about you? Would you be willing to save someone you don't even know? Would you be willing to help someone with a disability? Would you be the one to step in when someone is in a fight with someone twice their size? If so then you are a bigger person then 75% of people on this earth.

Voice

Everyone has a voice whether you can hear them or not. Some are louder than others, and those are the ones we tend to listen to the most. We listen only to the people yelling the loudest or saying the most. Do we ever listen to the people who aren't screaming at us? Do we listen to the little voice in the back of our head saying things? Sometimes we tend to ignore that voice due to people telling us it's wrong. Did you ever stop and think that maybe your own voice was the right one? Or what about the people that can't even speak their opinion because their voice has been taken away? Everyone has a right to say what they want. Everyone should be able to have people listen to them and hear what they have to say. Everyone should be able to stand up for themselves and speak out against or for something. Everyone should have a voice.

Angels

Angels. We know what they are. We wish we could see ours. We hope that our loved ones have become them. There are many different types of angels. There are the Arch Angels, the Guardian Angels, and Fallen Angels. You probably know all about the Arch Angels so I wont waste your time talking about them. You probably have heard about Guardian Angels but don't know the entire truth about them. We all have one whether or not we know it. I like to believe that mine is just like me. That he is a spunky angel who's up to taking on my outrageous attitude. I've wanted to know who my angel is ever since I was little. Finally after a long time of looking everywhere to figure out how to know your guardian angels name, it finally came. I was sitting on my couch reading when there was just this whisper in my head. It was a voice that I had never heard and it said my guardian angels name. I am choosing not to reveal it on here because I don't want to make my angel mad :). But anyway no I can talk to him and just know that he's there on my side. Enough about Guardian Angels, you are probably asking yourself, what are Fallen Angels? Fallen Angels are angels that have been banished from Heaven and have to live out the rest of their existence between here and Heaven. Never being aloud to interact with us but not being about to hang out with the other angels. Aside from my personal Guardian Angel, I think that these guys are the coolest. I secretly kind of hope that my Guardian Angel was a Fallen Angel but ended up redeeming himself. I think it still might be his punishment that he has to be my angel though :).

Dreams

Dreams are what keeps us from going off the edge. Dreams take us to a place where we only wish we could be. Dreams are our alternative reality. Every night, that reality changes. Sometimes we remember our fabulous world and other times, its just drop of water in the ocean of forgettable things. Dreams can tell us things that we might not have noticed in our conscious state. The subconscious is able to break things down better while we're asleep and tell us this in our dreams. As you can see,  I was not able to just choose just one photo. I am a very big dreamer. I even have a dream journal that I would recommend to anyone willing to try it. After a while of writing down your dreams, they seems to become more vivid and easier to remember. You all must be thinking that I'm talking about a journal that I write down my hopes and dreams for the future, but no. I'm talking about a journal about pink zebras dancing with flowers. Those kinds of crazy-never-in-a-million-years-you-are-ever-going-to-see dreams.

Love

I have written about numerous topics. Most include some sort of pain. Whether the pain is visible to all or not isn't the point. The only topic I have yet to talk about is love. Love is in everything, even if you don't see it. Love is in a new baby being born. Love is in the way to elderly couple look at each other. Love is in death. Love is everywhere. There's no escaping it. By now some of you must be thinking, "What ha gotten into her?! What happened to all the pain and suffering in the world?" And you're right. There's no way to escape the pain in this world either. Love and pain are both in death. When we lose a loved one there's pain. Without love there would be no pain. Without pain there would be no love. When you see two elderly people holding hands and looking deeply into each others eyes, you can tell that there is love for each other.

Trapped

Has anyone ever felt that they were trapped and there was no way out? Whether it was a job or a friend pressuring you into something? Or maybe it was yourself that was letting you do something you really wanted? More than likely, you have been trapped, whether you've known it or not. If you have wanted to do something, go for it! The only one that can stop you is you. I know that sounds cliche, but it is ultimately true. No one can keep you from reaching your dreams. If you want to walk on the moon, go for it. If you want to be a rock star, rock out! If you want to write a book, go get it written. Don't let anyone tell you no. Never say never to your dreams.

Want vs. Need

Everyone wants something. Everyone needs somethings. Believe it or not, there is a difference between the two. Many people want candy or new clothes or something, but some people actually need clothes and food. Some people think that if they don't have that new iPod immediately, all their friends will make fun of them and they will just die of embarrassment. Well how about if instead of going and using that money to buy an unnecessary item when you have a perfectly good iPod still working, send that money to a homeless shelter or to a food bank or maybe to the Red Cross for help down in the south. The people down south really do need your help and money. Yes you need money too, but if you're going to spend it on something you don't need when you already have one, do you really need your money then, especially if you're willing to just throw it away? There really is a difference between want and need. If I haven't made it clear then take a walk down in some under privileged neighborhoods, go to the Soup Kitchen, go anywhere where there isn't a lot of money coming in, and think, your money could help them. So please, think before you buy something you think you need  but in actuality want.

Dead Tree

There is a tree in my backyard that has no few breaches and no leaves even tho we are very close to summer. This tree reminds me a lot of myself. It is right in the middle of all the other trees, but if you were to look into my backyard you would most likely see every other tree and then this one, or you would pass over it not even bothering to think about it. I feel like that tree. I may have friends but the kinds that I am the fall girl, or the best friend never the girlfriend, or even the freak friend that it's amazing that I might be friends with people or that I even have friends. I am the girl that if you were to line my friends and I up and guys had to pick one girl to date, I would never be picked. And on the off chance that I would be, it would be a joke. It's sad how many girls there are that are like me. In every group there is one, whether you know it or not. So look at your group of friends, and think, which one is this girl. I have a name for myself. I am the IGNON or "Invisible Girl No One Notices". So think, are you the IGNON, or is one of your friends being neglected by you? This world needs to see past the celebrities and pretty girl faces and see the ones that no one ever bothers to notice.

Hurt

There's many different kinds of it. The kind you get from breaking an arm, losing your job, or the kind you get when someone breaks your heart. All these different hurts have different types of pain. When you break your arm the pain is only there until you get is in a cast or you have pain killers. When you loose your job, you eventually get over it because you know you just have to get out there and look for another. When your heart gets broken though, that could last for decades. Maybe your true love found someone else, maybe your significant other died, or maybe you had to call things off with the one person in the entire world who actually understood you. Heartbreak is the worst kind of pain anyone can have. People actually die from it! Some couples after being with each other die six months to a year after their spouse. Heartbreak is probably the hardest kind of hurt to over come. Eventually the hurt does ease. Whether it's because you found someone who makes you just as or even more happy then the person before or enough time has passed and enough space was put between you and the other person. All hurt does go. Just give it time.

Acceptance

Acceptance. How many of you out there need it or want it? How many of you need acceptance from almost everyone just to live? Its human nature to want to be accepted by people or to want their approval on every little thing we do. We're like children that way. When the small child is jumping and calls to his mother, "Mommy, mommy! Look! Watch what I can do!" It's almost as if we do that too, but not calling to our mother, more to a friend. To be accepted into the world is one of the biggest wishes people have for themselves. Maybe they weren't extremely popular in high school so now would be their chance to rule the world and have everyone look adoringly up to them. You may not believe it but everyone is looking to someone for their approval. Whether it's to buy those shoes or if they should sign a contract. Everyone needs someone. People cannot survive without each other. We strain to be a part of something bigger then ourselves and to help people with their problems so be don't have to deal with our own. We look to others for guidance and love. Even the people at the top of the pyramid look to someone for approval on what they do and that person looks to another and so on. We live to please ourselves by pleasing others and getting their approval. Here is where i shall end my comment on acceptance.

Miracle

A miracle. Everyone wants one, but nobody has them. Why is it that these wonderful, beautiful things are so rare? People hope for a miracle when their dog runs away, or when they break a rib and hope to God that it doesn't puncture a vital organ. The miracles that people over ask for are: the longing for love, the wanting of being rich and famous, and the desire to be someone they aren't. Whether you want any of these things or  not is irrelevant in this blog. My blog is only for one thing and that is to express my views on the world. Now back to my point on miracles. These tiny things can work wonders that save, help, and undeniably are a mystery. Whether you believe in them as if they are fate's little presents or if you believe in the religious miracles, believe like theres no tomorrow and that these little gifts are the only thing that can save you.

Life and Death

I was looking out my window when a a bird landed in the tree right next to the window. I don't know how it happened but I started thinking of the way life goes on; how people are in your life for a lesson, a season, or a lifetime. Fate brings in these people to help you through life whether you want them or not. They help you see what you couldn't see before, they help you get over the brick wall that you've been scared to pass. The lesson ones never stay long enough for a real connection, but you always remember them because they are the ones who left something for you to remember them by. They leave you a memory that will always stay in your mind or they leave a special nick knack that you can always place where you got it and why. The seasonal ones are harder. They develop a bond of trust that makes you think that they will be a lifetime one, when it turns out that all they are there for is to be in the back drop and provide comfort and support, but in the end leave and never come back. Fate may allow you to mingle with these people once or twice more, but not enough to where you could for that bond of trust, even if you tried. The lifetime ones are there with you through the thick and thin. They are there from the start, or maybe they come right in the middle of your life, but stay with you till death. These are the people you have to watch out for. Everyone eventually leave you, or you end up leaving them. Life is funny like that. It lets you love and become friend and then right when everything is going great, it ends. Life sends you on these little journeys that show you that your life is great and everyone loves you and nothing could be better then this and then when you're least expecting it, someone leaves, which sends you into a pit of despair and sadness. I write this blog as the bird sits there. And not surprisingly, the bird just flew away. My point exactly. Everyone and/or everything eventually leaves.
